Appearing in Concert Friday 11/9: Columbia Grounds Coffee Shop Sunday 11/11: Sanctuary of the Heart Unity Church Susan Feehan sings with a voice that's clear as a bell, and it rings with just as much truth. The Minneapolis native got her first guitar when she was 12, and since then she has crafted a musical life filled with great songs, wonderful playing and a lovely voice. But what comes across most when Susan performs is her Spirit. And that would be "Spirit" with a capital S. "A saying I have run through my mind that has helped me immeasurably is 'That which is mine will not pass me by,'" she said. Susan has grabbed many of those good things and her music passes them along to others; in the best folk traditions, she shows us something about ourselves. |

| Susan started playing as part of a duo, and after a hiatus for marriage and children, she realized music was a gift in her life she could not deny. She picked up her guitar and picked up where she left off, and has performed at some of the Twin Cities' finest music venues, including E.P. Atelier, the Coffee Grounds, the Bloomington Hilton, Afton House Inn, Radisson South and the Northland Inn. She toured the college circuit with a show about empowering women, called "Herstory, or the Goddess Smiles." Although she lists Karen Carpenter, Eva Cassidy and "Bonnie Raitt, Bonnie Raitt, Bonnie Raitt" as her musical influences, what her audiences get is all Susan Feehan: Songs about the roads life offers us, sung lovingly by someone who has traveled a few of them and is happy to let us know what she's found. |
